Wedding abroad: what to look for when planning celebrations

Last time we talking about  Travel tips.

Weddings abroad is a common trend. The organization of a full-fledged celebration only becomes more expensive, but you do not want to give up on honeymoons. So why not combine two events into one, but bright and unique? If you are ready to say "I agree / agree" on the ocean, use this list of tips for planning the ceremony.

1. Select the country of celebration

It seems that this is the easiest and most enjoyable part of organizing a wedding abroad, but before you give preference to a particular country, you should think about this:

* Distance to the venue
Is your choice one of the exotic islands in the Pacific Ocean? This is excellent, but will all guests be able to withstand a long flight? And the financial aspect of the venture may not suit everyone.

* Furnishing
The ceremony of your dream should begin in an ancient castle on top of a cliff and end with a wedding on the beach? Make sure that there is a country on the world map that meets all your needs.

* Cultural aspect

Carry out a thorough study to find out if wedding rituals are customary for you in the chosen country. Perhaps some of them may be unacceptable for religious reasons.

* Security issue

The high crime rate and the tense political situation in some countries is a good reason to think twice about planning a wedding abroad.

* Legality of marriage registration

If you do not pay proper attention to this aspect, then from the trip you risk returning unmarried. There are many nuances in the legislation of different countries. For example, in France, you will have to live at least 40 days before you can go under the crown.

2. Make a list of all the necessary documents

Once you choose the venue for the ceremony, you should immediately start collecting the necessary papers. Their collection varies depending on the requirements of the authorities. In some cases, you may need a certificate of absence of obstacles to the upcoming marriage, in others - a copy of the birth certificate. Approach the question seriously and prepare a roomy folder for collecting documents. Do not forget about the visa issue and make sure that the validity of your passports does not expire in the next 6 months.

Going on a journey full of romance, we recommend thinking in advance about the security of your documents. As we have already told you, you will have to carry a large number of documents. It will be insulting if they are lost on the road or will be stolen along with the money. To avoid such situations we recomend you retain and carry their documents in a separate bag, which must lie nearby. Meet Travel Wallet & Passports Holder with RFID Blocking.  The bag has a handle, the length of which can be adjusted. You can hang it around your neck or shoulder. You will not have to hold it in his hands. Bag with zipper. Inside a lot of pockets for cards and passports. There is a small pocket for small items, such as USB flash drive, which is also on the snake. For the money and important papers, there is an inner pocket with zipper. There is also a lock, which can be attached keys. Even in the bag has pockets for ID cards, where you can put a driver's license. The advantages of this bag are that it can put a lot of things and they will always be in the manner and under your supervision.

3. Choose the correct time of year

In days of national holidays and major festivals, the demand for flights and accommodation in hotels is dramatically increasing, and with it the cost of organizing a wedding. Try to plan the celebration so that it does not have to be on one of the peak tourist periods.

Weather conditions are also an important factor. The wedding in September on Santorini for many years will be remembered to you as a fairy tale story. If you make a choice in favor of the Caribbean in the same month, remember only the rainy season and broken plans.

4. Decide who is responsible for the organization

As a rule, you have to choose from three options:

- preparation of the ceremony as an additional package of services of your tour operator;
- The local organizer of weddings;
- an independent organization.
Is your choice one of the exotic islands in the Pacific Ocean? This is excellent, but will all guests be able to withstand a long flight?

5. Plan a flight

The success of the ceremony depends largely on how well you can get to the place. Therefore, in advance, think about how you will transport the wedding dress. Many airlines allow you to take it on board as hand luggage, but this will likely require an additional fee. In addition, in advance, you should buy a good bag for a dress in which it can be hung or folded. If you still have to put it in your luggage, mark your wedding attire as a fragile item.

When booking tickets, leave yourself at least 48 hours before the ceremony to depart from the change of time zones and discuss the last details with the organizer in place.

6. Obtain special insurance

Wedding abroad is the case when it is necessary to pay special attention to packages of travel insurance. It is not superfluous to provide financial protection for wedding dresses, rings, and gifts if this is for any reason lost or stolen. Study the detailed information printed in small print in order to avoid payment of additional payments.

7. Consider the plan for the transition of the wedding ceremony to the honeymoon

Since you are already abroad, technically your honeymoon can be considered "open". Plan all of its details in advance: book places in hotels and make a list of sights and islands for your first trip as a honeymooner.
